Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, Korea Founding Team

A global AI company that reached a $5B valuation in under two years, opening its Korea office after New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo. The product is an enterprise AI operating system: agents that run inside a company's actual operations rather than sitting beside them.

The Korea team is being built now. The engineer in this seat is not joining a process, they are deciding what it is.

What You'll Do

Forward Deployed Engineering is not traditional product engineering. You sit with the customer, learn how their operations actually run, and build the systems that make AI work inside them. At this level you take the account, not a ticket.

• Own enterprise deployments end to end, from the first customer conversation through production and past it.
• Turn a customer's operations into a technical plan, then build the system that runs it.
• Design the integration architecture: how the agent reaches their data, their tools, and their existing systems.
• Work directly with the customer's decision-makers. No account manager in between.
• Set the technical standard for how the Korea team deploys, and bring the next engineers up to it.
• Feed what you learn in the field back into the product roadmap. At this stage that feedback actually moves it.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering, including production systems that enterprises depend on.
• Deep experience across APIs, integrations, and data flows between systems.
• You have led a delivery or a deployment before: scoped it, and been accountable for whether it landed.
• You want to be in front of customers. This is customer-facing engineering, not a pure backend or infrastructure role.
• The ability to bring structure and momentum to a problem nobody has scoped yet.
• Business-level Korean and English. You will work with the global team directly, with no layer in between.

Years of experience is not a hard cutoff. This company is hiring across levels in Korea at the same time. Talk to Harper and it tells you which level fits your track record before you talk to anyone.

Nice to Have

• Strong Python.
• Hands-on work with LLMs, RAG, or agent systems in production, beyond demos.
• A forward-deployed, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or sales engineering background.
• Experience as a first or early engineer in a market or a product line.
• Cloud fluency (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
