Job Title
Software Engineer, Product & Growth
Location
San Francisco, CA. On-site 4 days per week. Full-time.
Company Description
Blockit is a Sequoia-backed AI scheduling agent. CC it on any email or Slack thread and it negotiates the times, handles the time zones, and sends the invite. Customers include teams at Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, Accel, Thrive Capital, Ramp, Vanta, Clay, and Granola. Founded by a former Sequoia partner and covered by TechCrunch and Sequoia in January 2026. While every LLM application to date has been a one-on-one conversation, Blockit is one of the first multiplayer, stateful AI agents: it coordinates between multiple people, keeps context across conversations, and takes real actions in the world. As more people connect their calendars, the network gets exponentially more powerful.
The Role
You will expand what Blockit can do and where it shows up in people's lives. This isn't traditional growth engineering: it's building new agent capabilities, opening new surfaces (Slack, mobile, desktop), and finding ways for Blockit to handle workflows it doesn't support yet. You will ship features end-to-end, from talking to users and prototyping to building and measuring, across frontend, backend, and agent engineering.
What You'll Do
-
Build new features end-to-end: backend, frontend, and agent integrations
-
Add new tools and capabilities to the agents so they handle new workflows
-
Build and improve integrations with external services (Slack, email, calendar providers)
-
Work with design and GTM to find what's missing and what's broken for users
-
Prototype quickly, ship, and iterate based on what you learn
-
Work across the codebase: you will touch a lot of different systems
Who You Are
-
2+ years of industry experience shipping production software
-
Comfortable working across the stack as needed
-
Product sense: you care about UX, correctness, and clarity, not just passing tests
-
Pragmatic: you validate quickly, then harden what works
-
Clear communicator, written and verbal, across engineering, design, and users
Why Join
-
Ship features that thousands of users touch the same week
-
Tiny, senior team backed by Sequoia; every customer so far came inbound
-
Work in person in San Francisco with people who ship daily
How This Works
Harper is an AI career agent on your side, free for candidates and paid by companies. Talk to Harper for five minutes, no resume form. If you're a fit, your profile goes straight to Blockit's hiring team, and only after you approve. Not a fit? Harper keeps sending you roles you wouldn't find on your own.
