Forward Deployed Engineer, Indonesia
Build and run AI-agent workflows with enterprise customers in Jakarta, from problem discovery and integration to production adoption.
The opportunity
The hiring client is a fast-growing enterprise AI platform company with local deployment teams across international markets. Its teams work alongside large customers to turn AI-agent use cases into production workflows, connecting data, systems and business operations. The employer's name is shared through Harper when appropriate in the introduction process.
This is a hands-on engineering role close to customers. You will learn complex operating workflows, design and build AI agents, integrate them with existing systems and keep them reliable after launch.
What you will do
- Work with enterprise customers to define the workflow, success measures and technical design.
- Build quick prototypes, then production integrations across LLMs, internal data, APIs, CRM, ERP, contact-center and messaging systems.
- Debug in customer environments and improve reliability, adoption and measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with customer, product, engineering and operations teams as requirements evolve.
What you will bring
- At least three years of software engineering or equivalent technical building experience.
- Practical backend or systems work in Python, TypeScript or a comparable production stack; comfort with REST APIs, databases, cloud and integration.
- Familiarity with AI agents or workflow automation, strong English communication and a willingness to work directly with customers.
- Current legal authorization to work in Indonesia without employer sponsorship, and ability to work on site in Jakarta and at customer locations.
Customer-facing engineering, enterprise integrations, voice systems or production LLM work are helpful, but are not listed as universal requirements.
