Public Sector Sales Director, Korea

Full-timeSenior Β· 7+ yearsπŸ‡°πŸ‡· Seoul

Lead and close enterprise AI deals with Korean government agencies and public institutions, from procurement through production rollout.

The opportunity

The hiring client is a fast-growing enterprise AI platform company with local go-to-market and deployment teams across international markets. Its teams work alongside large customers to turn AI-agent use cases into production workflows, connecting data, systems and business operations.

This is a quota-carrying public sector sales role for Korea. You will lead and close high-stakes deals with government agencies and public institutions, expand existing agency relationships and build durable revenue in a procurement-driven environment.

What you will do

  • Build trusted relationships with agency executives, CIO and IT leaders and contracting officers across central, regional and local government.
  • Identify new agencies, programs and contract vehicles to land fresh public sector customers, and turn the accounts you own into long-term reference customers.
  • Hit and exceed activity, pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Keep use cases, procurement timelines, contract vehicle status, budget cycles and forecasts sharp and actionable.
  • Sell on mission impact and measurable outcomes against agency mandates, not on features.
  • Navigate RFIs, RFPs, sole-source justifications and relevant contract vehicles, and work hand in hand with system integrators and hyperscalers' government cloud offerings.

What you will bring

  • At least seven years of quota-carrying sales in SaaS or AI-driven solutions within the public sector or govtech, closing large, complex agency accounts with multi-stakeholder approval cycles.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement and budget cycles, including fiscal year timing, contract vehicles and compliance requirements such as data residency.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills, including presenting to non-technical stakeholders and appointed officials.
  • A hunter mentality with a track record of generating new agency leads and navigating unfamiliar procurement structures.
  • Existing relationships with agency leadership and decision-makers, with the credibility to open doors across departments quickly.
  • Fluent Korean and excellent English, written and spoken.
  • Comfort working independently with long sales cycles in an early-stage, high-growth environment.

Why consider it

You will establish the client's public sector practice in one of its priority markets, with a product already deployed with large enterprises worldwide and a global product and deployment organization behind you. The role is based in Seoul.
