Job Title
Robotics Systems Engineer (Junior / Senior)

Salary
Competitive base + Equity — top-of-market comp at a frontier robotics AI startup

Location
Seoul (Gangnam / Yeoksam) — On-site

Company Description
A frontier robotics startup building robot foundation models for real-world bimanual manipulation — backed by Samsung, Hyundai, and LG, and already deploying with enterprise customers. The robots that collect training data must themselves execute real-world tasks reliably and with high fidelity — which takes a tightly integrated systems stack: low-latency control, embedded sensing and teleoperation, and high-throughput data acquisition. You'll build the physical backbone that next-generation robotic intelligence runs on.

What You'll Do

  • Work across the control and hardware layers of the robotics systems stack that generates the high-fidelity data our foundation models depend on.
  • Design and implement low-latency, high-frequency control for bimanual manipulation; improve robustness under real-world variability.
  • Build teleoperation systems for fast, intuitive, scalable data collection; engineer embedded, time-synchronized, low-latency multimodal sensing.
  • Integrate robot platforms (Franka, UR5e, RB-Y1, Vega, Piper, etc.) with sensor stacks and acquisition pipelines.
  • Work hands-on with real robots daily in an experiment-driven, rapid-iteration environment.

Who You Are

  • Background in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related (academic or hands-on).
  • Strong Python and working knowledge of C++.
  • Experience with ROS (1 or 2).
  • Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and control principles.
  • First-principles thinking, rapid learning, and exceptional hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication in Korean and written English.

Bonus Points

  • Robotic platforms such as Franka Emika, Piper, UR series, RB-Y1, Vega.
  • Low-level control and real-time embedded systems.
  • Teleoperation systems, haptic interfaces, or master–slave setups.
  • Robotics simulation (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo).
  • How robot control interfaces with AI/ML models (VLA / world models).
