1. Our Commitment to Privacy At Harper, we believe AI should empower professionals, not exploit them. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers, and we do not use your private communications to train our models.

2. Data Sourcing & Provenance To help AI/ML talent get discovered by top-tier companies, we collect and index information from two main sources:

Directly Provided Data: Information you provide when creating a Harper account or syncing your Google profile.

Publicly Sourced Professional Data: We index professional information (such as career history, skills, and publications) that is already publicly available on professional networking platforms, academic repositories, and open-source contribution sites. We do not scrape private social media or non-professional data.

3. AI Ethics & Transparency Our AI acts as a discovery layer to match candidates with opportunities.

No Automated Hiring: Our AI identifies potential "fit," but it never makes a final hiring or rejection decision. A human recruiter is always in the loop.

Purpose Limitation: Data is used exclusively for professional recruitment and the improvement of our matching accuracy.

4. User Control & The Right to be Forgotten You are the owner of your professional identity.

Immediate Removal: If you find your professional information on Harper and wish to be removed, email chris@matchharper.com. We process all "Right to be Forgotten" requests within 48 hours.

Data Portability: You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time.
